Hi, my name is Caroline Harris.
I am a Paramedic, Certified Personal Trainer, Run Performance Coach, Natural Health Consultant and Yoga Instructor.
I work with people of all ages with varying fitness levels and goals.

CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is an emergency lifesaving procedure that is performed when a person's own breathing or heartbeat has stopped, such as in cases of electric shock or drowning.
Permanent brain damage or death can occur within minutes if blood flow stops. Therefore, it is critical that blood flow and breathing be continued until trained medical help arrives.

What is Yoga?
What is meditation?
Meditation is a three step process that leads to a state of consciousness that brings serenity, clarity, and bliss.
Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit. It is the union between the mind, body and spirit based on posturing and breathing technique to induce relaxation.
Many people think that yoga is just stretching. But while stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility.
They have been found to be extremely effective in:
Increasing flexibility
Helping to lose excess flab and weight
Backaches and arthritis
Increasing lubrication of the joints,
Detoxify
just to name a few.
Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation.
"Watching your breath" is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.
With regular practice of a balanced series of techniques, the energy of the body and mind can be liberated and the quality of consciousness can be expanded.

When is the best time for a treatment?
It is advised not to do a treatment at feeding times or when other horses are being put out to grass or being brought in from grazing. Too much activity in the yard will prevent the horse from being relaxed and as comfortable as possible.
Why consider an alternative therapy?
Well, each has their own reason, but reliance on drug therapy and the continual treatment of symptoms, as opposed to causes have been put forward as a reason. I also feel that there is an interest in the spiritual side of life and the importance of energy balancing.

How long does each session last?
On average the sessions last 45 minutes to 1 hour. Often the horses guide the session length and when they feel they have had enough they will let me know.
